About Us

Clarkson University is a research institution that confers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in more than 50 academic fields of study, including engineering, business, science, liberal arts, and health sciences. It also has well-regarded programs in advanced materials, biotech, environment & energy, entrepreneurship, and global supply chain management. The university has more than 2,500 undergraduates and approximately 400 graduate students. Clarkson University was founded in 1896 as a memorial to Thomas Clarkson, a businessman from Potsdam, New York, where the university is located.
