The City of Greensboro is a local government municipality that works to maintain a unique sense of community and to provide a quality of life rivaled by few with its many services and programs. The City of Greensboro employs over 3,000 individuals who strive to live up to the four core values of honesty, integrity, respect, and stewardship in every day work and service delivery. The City of Greensboro has adopted the Council/Manager form of government to provide the highest degree of professional and non-political administration of public services in accordance with policies set by the elected Mayor and City Council. The City's administrative offices are in the Melvin Municipal Office Building, 300 W. Washington St., and are open Mondays through Fridays, from 8 am to 5 pm.
