Additional information about the company can be found online at www.bwpipelines.com . We are currently looking for a Supervisor/ Manager, Environmental for our Houston, TX office. POSITION DESCRIPTION: In this role, you will be: Boardwalk seeks a Supervisor or Manager, Environmental to join a multi-disciplinary project team within the Engineering and Construction Group in our Corporate Offices in Houston, Texas. This position will be a working supervisory role, and will be responsible for supporting engineering and constructions projects, as well as various operations projects from planning to in-service through post construction and restoration. This position will also be responsible for supervising and leading the work of Environmental Specialist/s within the department as well as potential contract assistance. Work will include a variety of smaller operational type permitting projects, through larger FERC 7(c) efforts that are both capital and expense related. Jobs duties will include overseeing the acquisition of relevant permits/clearances and overseeing various consultants work to secure such permits/clearances. Thorough knowledge of all applicable rules and regulations and an attention to detail while managing multiple projects in variety of different locations. This position will be a part of a team that works from project estimation through construction/restoration and permit close-out. The candidate will track, report, and be responsible for project budgets and timelines and inform the Project Team of variations impacting a projects execution. Additionally, this position will ensure compliance with permit conditions, FERC and other agency regulatory requirements and/or conditions, and construction compliance. This position will report directly to the Director of Environmental and will have direct visibility to various Boardwalk disciplinary teams. The position requires excellent verbal and written skills, and the ability to oversee and manage many projects concurrently. Excellent communications skills are required, as he/she will interact with all levels of personnel throughout Boardwalk from field operations to Senior Management. The majority of the work will be within the Corporate Office in Houston, however some travel may be required to field locations for both projects, agency meetings, as well as training and presentation to the various Boardwalk functional groups across the states the Boardwalk operates. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE: Natural Gas/Pipeline Industry Permitting and Compliance State, Federal, and Local Permitting Minimum of ten (10) years plus of Environmental Permitting Experience Ability to work independently on multiple concurrent projects Expertise related T&E species regulations and permitting Expertise related to Historic Preservation regulations and permitting Expertise related to Wetlands and Coastal Zone regulations and permitting Knowledge of Hydrostatic Testing regulations, permitting, sampling and agency notifications Ability to work in a fast paced collaborative team environment Strong ability to multi-task and adapt to ever changing regulation Ability to manage projects and environmental permitting staff that will potentially include contractors as well as Boardwalk staff Ability to travel up to 25% of the time Preferred SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE: FERC Filings and NEPA documentation Experience related to FERC project construction and adherence to the Plan and Procedures Experience writing and reviewing FERC documents and Resource Reports to satisfy all FERC requirements Excels in Communication and Organizational abilities REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Boardwalk Pipelines, LP maintains a drug-free workplace and will require pre-employment drug & substance abuse testing before hire.
