Hillrom’s roots go back to when Bill Hillenbrand revolutionized the hospital bed field in 1929. Dr. Francis Welch and William Noah Allyn introduced the world’s first handheld direct-illuminating ophthalmoscope in 1915. What started in the United States has now spread worldwide.
