We have an exciting opportunity to join our client’s expanding team in Essex, as a Battery Unit & Systems Engineer.

Please note that this is a hybrid remote role - you will be required to be on site in Essex for three / four days per week.

Please note that the successful candidate will need to hold a full UK driving licence, as the role will potentially include frequent travel within the UK.

You’ll have responsibility for the system design and validation of the HV battery unit and to ensure that product development deliverables and program attribute targets are met for battery units of electric vehicles.

Essential Experience & Skills:

Demonstratable experience of working with little supervision
Experience of attribute trade off and management
Good working knowledge of GPDS processes
Robustness and reliability toolset
Strong oral and written communication skills
Self motivated with excellent team working skills

Preferred Experience & Skills:

Enthusiasm for electrification with awareness of other vehicle area requirements and the integration conflicts that they present to deliver a vehicle level solution that meets all attributes
Knowledge of HV battery technology, design and validation is desirable, however we will help you build the experience you need.
Demonstrated ability to plan and execute technically complex projects working cross functionally.

Education Required:

Degree in Engineering discipline, or you have completed two thirds of formal study towards degree course and commitment to complete studies.

Hours, Location & Additional Information:

Rate - £29.52 per hour, increasing to £35.65 after initial probation period of 13 weeks

37.5 hours
12 month contract
Hybrid / Remote – On site in Essex three / four days per week
Position confirmed inside IR35
