The Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas is the Catholic Church in Northeast Kansas: Growing as Disciples of Jesus; Making Disciples for Jesus. The Coordinator, Safe Environment for Hispanic Ministry is responsible for the oversight, operation, and maintenance of the Archdiocesan Safe Environment Compliance Program for Hispanic Ministry which includes the initial awareness training. The incumbent acts in accordance with the requirements set forth within the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People promulgated by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB). This position is part-time, will average 5 hours per week, with the opportunity for a flexible work schedule. This position is hybrid with work completed in the Chancery office and remotely.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Act as the administrator for the Archdiocesan Safe Environment training database for Hispanic parishes and programs; provide end user training and support where needed.
Maintain data collection systems/databases for the purpose of tracking and reporting compliance of all parishes/schools regarding Prevention Training.
Communicate with designated Virtus Facilitators regarding issues pertaining to scheduling sessions and identifying issues or concerns.
Collaborate with pastors, principals, employees, and volunteers, effectively managing resources and resolving conflicts, while serving as a liaison with local Safe Environment Coordinators at Hispanic parishes.
Facilitate the scheduling of Spanish safe environment training classes throughout the Archdiocese as needed.
Recruit Spanish-Speaking Virtus Facilitators; coordinate and implement training sessions to certify Spanish-speaking Virtus Facilitators.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum three (3) years relevant work experience in human resources, business, database management, or related professional office environment is preferred.
Proficiency with technology including the Microsoft Office Suite of products and other communication technology is required as is the ability to learn new technology as needed.
Familiarity with Virtus is preferred.
Spanish-speaking/bilingual is required.
A practicing Catholic, registered in a Catholic parish is strongly preferred.
