AWIP is seeking an initiative-taker and problem-solver to join our company and help drive our solar-integrated insulated panel initiatives. The ideal candidate has technical expertise in the solar panel design lifecycle (e.g., Development, Procurement, Engineering, Construction, Cost Estimation, and O&M). Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and have a passion for creative data-driven decision-making. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Lead cross-functional teams to complete projects on time & on budget to meet our annual targets. Monitor and track project progress, provide project status reports, lead ideation sessions, and manage stakeholder engagement. Support solar product roadmap development, by optimizing for the least cost, best-fit solutions at the portfolio level. Lead cost-out initiatives to achieve roadmap targets Analyze data to support decision-making processes Provide insights and analytical-driven approaches for best-fit products Build compelling business case assessments Identify and lead other internal initiatives to drive solar product competitiveness and technical suitability. Develop whitepaper, documentation, presentation, etc. to support the product advancement. Cultivate strong relationships with vendors and partners to ensure a seamless product lifecycle from initial design to end-of-life management. Collaborate directly with test labs and internal product development teams to ensure products comply with building code and are certified through appropriate testing. Stay up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices related to solar photovoltaics and roofing industry Other duties as assigned Education and Experience BS in relevant STEM discipline. MBA or Master’s in engineering preferred. Minimum 5 years industry working experience in solar Minimum 3 years of Product Management or Project Management experience. Deeply familiar with life cycle of renewable energy projects; solar preferred. Superb communication skills; written and verbal. Comfortable translating business requirements into a design. Proven ability to translate a product vision into an action. Experience with solar project lifecycle: integration, procurement, origination, sales, and deployment of front-of-the-meter and/or behind-the-meter storage equipment guidance Experience with product testing and certifications Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once and be able to prioritize by importance, schedule and necessity. Travel (by car, plane or other methods of transportation): as required to complete tasks Maintain a valid driver’s license and passport Physical Requirements Ability to work 8 hours per day with the ability to work overtime as needed to complete time-sensitive tasks. Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with extreme temperatures and outdoor exposure at times. Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, submittals, and technical and contract documents. Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be able to use tools, equipment, machinery, etc. Must have visual acuity, discernment of color and texture, and finger dexterity. Ability to read, write, type, and verbally communicate effectively in English. Ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods. Must be able to bend, lift, twist, reach, grasp, and other physical movements. Must be reliable, dependable, and highly motivated with a desire to be successful.
