Purpose of the Role

To coordinate the implementation of the Quality Management System and the Safety, Health and Environment Programmes at BHC in order to minimise risk factors associated with Quality of Products and Services, Health and Safety of Employees and Stakeholders as well as aspects that can cause Environmental impacts.

Minimum Position Requirements
Qualifications

Degree in any Science field such as Occupational Health & Safety Administration, Safety Management, Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Engineering or related.
Additional training in ISO 9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001.

Experience

Minimum of three (3) years post-qualification experience in Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental Management or related fields.

Key Responsibilities

To establish, implement, coordinate, promote and monitor Quality Management Systems and ensure conformity to standards, training of staff, scheduled audits and quality risk management.
To establish, document and maintain safety, health and environmental policies and procedures to provide guidance to the Corporation, minimise risks and losses and ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
To participate in planning meetings to identify any health and safety concerns and contribute to the development of emergency procedures.
To conduct SHE inspections to ensure compliance to regulations or statutory instruments.
To establish systems for coordinating hazard identification and risk assessment, developing mitigating plans and investigating accidents as well as administering activities concerned with the health and wellbeing of staff.
To report on the different areas of SHEQ including incidents, losses, non-conformities, compliance to SHE policy and statutory instruments.
To provide guidance to area management before audits and to liaise with external parties and internal departments to facilitate the audits.
To carry out any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
