The Electrical Apprentice will work under the direct supervision of our Electrical Journeyman and Master Electrician to install Photo Voltaic Solar systems on residential and commercial projects. Learn from experienced professionals while gaining hands-on experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and high voltage systems
- Read line drawings, technical diagrams, interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
- Ability to follow directions and ensure compliance with electrical safety protocols, codes and regulations
- Collaborate in a team environment to complete assigned tasks
- Perform basic electrical tasks such as bending conduit, wiring, and troubleshooting
- Handle physical exertion in hot weather, lift heavy objects, and work in confined spaces
- Able to climb ladders, access crawl spaces, distinguish colors, dexterity to work with hand and power tools
- Possess a strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking
- Ensure maximum customer respect, attention to service, and overall satisfaction
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Over 18 years of age
- Valid Driver's License and a clean Driver's Record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug Screening and Background Check
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Customer service experience of 2+ years
- Basic knowledge of residential electrical and structural systems, experience in both AC and DC systems
- General knowledge of NEC, NABCEP Certification
- Solar, military, roofing, electrical, or construction experience; Or Trade School degree
