Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Head of Procurement to lead our procurement function in Chennai. Ideal candidates will have 12+ years of experience in relevant industries and preferably an MBA.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance.
- Cost Management: Drive cost-saving initiatives and ensure competitive pricing.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop the procurement team.
- Operational Efficiency: Ensure timely procurement and optimize inventory management.
- Compliance: Adhere to laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices and stay updated on industry trends.
Requirements:
12+ years in procurement, preferably in wind turbine, heavy engineering, or capital equipment manufacturing.
Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
