JOB SUMMARY: These positions are located in San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, in the San Francisco Maritime NHP. MAJOR DUTIES: Serve as a front-line, uniformed representative of the NPS, answering visitor questions and explaining the area's recreational opportunities, including NPS interpretive services, concession operated facilities and services, campground availability, hiking trails, etc. Perform assignments in accordance with all NPS and U.S. Treasury regulations governing the handling of government funds. Review and verify the functionality of new fee related systems or modifications to existing systems as a result of regulatory and program requirements. Review and verify the accuracy of manuals and/or standard operating procedures for the implementation of new and existing system designs and/or modifications. Provide informal and formal training and education to employees, partners, volunteers, interns, cooperating association representatives, etc. regarding automated and non-automated fee processes, systems, software programs, tools, etc. Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. First position: You will be in Pay status for 25 pay periods from mid February through end of January and will be in a non-pay status for one pay period in February. 2nd position: You will be in Pay status for 25 pay periods from mid March through end of February and will be in a non-pay status for one pay period in March.
