JOB SUMMARY: This position is in Region 9 / Office of Regional Counsel / Air, Toxics, Water & General Law Branch. This position is for the Branch Manager for the Air, Toxics, Water and General Law Branch. About Region 9 This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis. MAJOR DUTIES: You will: Resolve highly legal complex questions which arise under of laws, regulations, lawsuits, enforcement actions, executive orders and other administrative actions. Research legal questions relating to statutes, regulations, executive orders, caselaw, policy, and guidance for enforcement and/or counseling matters. Provide legal advice and policy recommendations, as appropriate, on Regional enforcement and/or counseling matters. Represent the Region at conferences or meetings that may beheld with a variety of entities. Direct, coordinate, and oversee work through subordinates.
