Job Description: Environmental Geologist, Engineer
Our Client is expanding its team and is seeking a talented Engineer, Geologist, or Environmental Scientist to join their Pensacola, FL office. Relocation assistance is available for this role. With over 44 years of experience, Our Client delivers regulatory compliance, site assessment, engineering, and remediation services to private industry and government entities. They have successfully managed numerous cleanups at military installations, Superfund sites, airports, and various commercial, federal, and state locations.
Position Overview
Our Client is looking for a dynamic professional with hands-on experience in conducting investigations and site assessments within regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Phase I and II environmental site assessments.
- Prepare detailed work plans for site investigations.
- Perform site investigation activities, including sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, indoor air, vapor intrusion, soil gas, drinking water, biota, and building materials.
- Provide environmental compliance support, including data collection for permitting and/or registration, regulatory compliance evaluation, and preparation of plans and reports.
- Document field activities and assist in writing technical reports.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 1-5 years of relevant experience, with previous internships being beneficial.
- Professional registration, certification, or experience in geotechnical, geophysics, or related fields is a plus.
- EIT, PE, PG, or the ability to obtain a PE or PG license in other states is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Willingness to travel regionally up to 35% annually, including overnight and weekend trips.
