What you will do:
We are looking for a Software Development Intern to join our SAP Environment Health and Safety Management unit and develop new product features for our sustainability portfolio. Our product enables our customers to manage their activities in the areas of industrial safety, health, and environmental protection. It helps organizations to reduce effort and costs in regulatory reporting, improve tracking of compliance and drive a proactive safety culture in the workplace. Our product is developed mainly in the ABAP stack, we also use SAP Fiori, JavaScript, UI5, SQL.
As a Development iXp Intern you will:
- Work in a cross-functional team of talented and motivated colleagues, following agile methodologies and the industry’s best practices.
- Learn and work with SAP development tools and technologies, like Fiori and SAP UI5 frameworks, ABAP programming language, Core Data Services (CDS), in-memory computing, SAP Business Technology Platform, and others
- Participate and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Constantly improve your agile software engineering skills
You will get the support and guidance of buddy and experienced team members to onboard and develop your skills.
What you bring:
- You are a student in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Informatics, or a related subject as well. Prior work experience is not required.
- Basic knowledge in software development of any programming language
- Knowledge in OOP, data structures and algorithms, databases, relational databases design and SQL, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, UI5 will be considered an advantage
- Basic understanding of software architecture principles, modern cloud architectures and design of large software systems
- You are a collaborative team player, with strong communication skills
- Good command in English

We are a highly motivated team with a strong history in the sustainability domain knowledge. We are a proven contributor to the development of the SAP S/4HANA, and we value technical skills as much as teamwork, trust, collaboration and creativity.
Location: Sofia, Bulgaria (office attendance 3 times a week is required)
Schedule: 20/30/40 hours a week
Start date: December-January
Duration: 6 months
