Developing sites that enable the rapid scaling of the electric vehicle market and the infrastructure required to support the transition to electrified transport. In this role, you will have the responsibility for managing execution of project design and construction activities for priority sites. Such activities may include but not limited to preliminary electrical engineering (single line development, specification review and coordination, submittal review and approval, technical document management, and other like activities) permitting, utility interconnection, and contractor engagement.
Successful candidates will have extensive understanding of important construction technical concepts. You bring critical thinking and interpersonal communication skills (oral and written) necessary for a range of responsibilities from quantitative fluencies to successful external public and commercial stakeholder engagement. You have a proven ability to take ownership and initiative. You prioritize attention to detail, time management, and organization in your work to manage multiple projects at one time, including site-specific project schedules, budgets, and other internal project control and reporting tools.

Core Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end management of construction for multiple large-scale EV charging infrastructure projects, consisting of greenfield or brownfield elements, building demolition, on-site energy generation assets, such as battery energy storage, solar photovoltaic and low emission generators.
- Report to management regularly on project development progress and lead regular project management meetings to communicate progress and expectations to all stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
- Conform and enhance project control tools for your projects, such as schedules and budgets.
- Identify and coordinate with external consultants, such as engineering firms, contractors, vendors, and internal subject matter experts to support project development activities.
- Proactively address potential issues and manage tasks to advance project development activities.
- Lead process for management of detailed development and construction budget forecasts.
- Analyze various elements required to deliver a viable site and develop schedule recommendations for completion timelines.
- Work cohesively and collaboratively with internal stakeholders from development partners, Business Development, Product, Energy & Utilities, Technology, Site Operations, Business Development, and Finance teams.
- Be a principal evangelist for the electrification of transport, and the company’s role in making it happen.
- Travel as needed (anticipated to be 30%) to remote job sites for consultation, progress updates, and conflict resolution.
Preferred Qualifications- 6 years minimum experience in construction or engineering. New project development or management, including complex electrical projects in any of the following fields: dense electrical infrastructure, renewable energy development, vehicle electrification, EV charging, clean energy, power grid development, freight or fleet transport and logistics.
- Proven experience with at least three of the following: DC charging hardware, battery energy storage systems, solar PV generation, dispatchable on-site power generation, solid state transformers, substation relay and control, or microgrid solutions.
- Familiarity with project management tools, software, contracting structures and projects like Procore, Smartsheets, and the Google Suite of tools.
- Demonstrated experience in project management or electrical engineering, with organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Minimum Four-year degree; or equivalent on the job hands on engineering and construction project management experience.
- Required to travel to sites as needed and based in the Greater Phoenix Area

$120,000 - $150,000 a year
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. This salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in Greater Phoenix, AZ. The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, interview performance, and geographic location.
