To expand our capability for regulatory approval testing of industrial battery systems – we are recruiting a Project Engineer to focus on industrial system compliance testing, such as (Stationary) Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and other industrial applications.
The Battery System Project Engineer will work alongside mostly international customers, on component and system level validation. He/she is responsible for the technical execution of testing activities for battery systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and functional safety requirements.
Planning and conducting battery tests, including safety tests, performance analyses and life cycle tests;
Coordinating the multidisciplinary testing, with DEKRA’s various expert teams (such as EMC, Grid-level, Functional Safety testing and external laboratories);
Optimization of test plans and equipment ensuring proper setup of measurement configurations;
Interpreting regulation and standards and ensuring adherence to regulatory, safety and performance requirements;
Instructing and delegating test tasks to technicians;
Analyzing and interpreting test data, ensuring accurate, reliable results;
Preparing and reviewing test reports to document findings;
Maintaining technical communication with clients regarding project progress and technical issues.
You have experience in battery testing and testing procedures;
You have knowledge of industrial battery system standards (IEC 62933-5-2, IEC 62619, UN38.3, UL9540(A));
Proficiency in data analysis and troubleshooting within a testing environment;
You have the ability to interpret and apply technical standards;
Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required;
You have knowledge of project planning and project management;
Preferred: experience in functional safety such as ISO13849-1, IEC 60730-1, ISO 26262 – including BMS Circuit analyses.
