The green transition is rapidly accelerating. To solve the energy challenges of tomorrow, we are looking for a Leading / Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Offshore Wind Energy Team. We are approx. 175 enthusiastic colleagues in our European team and working alongside our customers on some of the world's most innovative projects in offshore wind. We are thrilled to have contributed to projects like Empire Wind (North America), St. Nazaire (France), Nordlicht (Germany), Choshi, Akita North and Yurihonjo, Katagami (Japan).
Your key activities will be:
- Providing technical expertise and leadership to the project team as discipline lead for projects worldwide, for floating and bottom-fixed structures, as well as geotechnical site assessment feeding into foundation design.
- Contributing alongside experts to the internal competence development.
- Facilitating an innovative geotechnical disciplinary environment.
- Ensuring application of state of art design.
- Coordinating with the certification authority to ensure technical compliance with standards
- Access to further learning, including technical and business development courses.
- Participate and contribute to internal training aimed at improving your skills and of younger colleagues in the offshore wind industry.

On top of that, you will have:
- A M.Sc. in Geotechnical Engineering or similar. In addition, a PhD or post-doc experience is an advantage.
- Experience within geotechnical design and installation of offshore structures is an advantage.
- Experience with soil laboratory and field testing, interpretation of geotechnical data and basic knowledge on data science and regression of geotechnical data.
- Knowledge in computational geomechanics, FE analysis and constitutive modelling.
- Competencies within programming languages e.g., Python, Matlab, or C++ is an advantage.
- Fluent in English and German.
