Responsibilities

As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for engaging in the operation and maintenance of Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) and the supervision and coordination of at least one wind farm site:

  • Daily site reporting to the Service Manager
  • Management of general daily on-site issues, reporting and site work deliverables
  • Planning and preparation of site work rosters and schedules; maintaining and updating these in SAP
  • Management of and co-ordination with on-site personnel (Service Technicians) to ensure all work is performed timely, efficiently, and safely
  • Liaison and coordination with on-site employer representatives and Subcontractors
  • Present the Site Induction to all Vestas on-site personnel, subcontractors and visitors
  • Ensuring Quality, OH&S and Environmental requirements (including reporting and record-keeping) for the site are being maintained and complied with by onsite personnel and Subcontractors
  • Attending site meetings with client
  • Conduct daily toolbox meetings and daily work team briefings, manage daily task management board
  • Review and approve timesheets, expense reports, leave requests, overtime requests and travel requests

 

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in supervising, and leading team members for planning and management of a site
  • Experience in maintenance operations, leading as an example in 5S and Lean activities
  • Supported sub-contractors (if applicable for the sites)
  • Management and reporting of budgetary requirements
  • Experience providing service with direct customer interface in the following industries wind industry, heavy machinery industry, construction, rotating machinery, chemical refinery, petroleum, shipyard/ship repair, marine industry
  • Experience in high-stress situations in operations/service management environments

 

Competencies

  • Positive people management, project management and coordination skills
  • Supervisory skills in the mechanical, electrical and electronics domains
  • Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Team leadership and supervision skills to achieve maintenance and service standards to company and contractual requirements
  • Understanding and intermediate user of MS Office, ERP (SAP) and exposure to similar software programs
  • Ability to adapt to a new and different culture, working in a remote wind farm site, and have previous experience with integrating cross-culturally with the local team
  • English language: at least business-level fluency (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Possess a valid driving license
