Job Description
- To manage and operate the transfer station and its reception area within agreed operational procedures;
- To ensure all the work is carried out safely, efficiently and effectively;
- To design, develop and implement operating procedures, maintenance procedures, safety procedures and environmental management systems and any other procedures as required by the Company;
- To be responsible for the transfer station stores and tools purchased within defined procedures and produce inventory reports, as necessary;
- To ensure all environmental criteria both within and outside the station meet the Company's expectations and are in compliance with the Contract, the Law and environmental management systems;
- To understand the overall objectives of the Transfer Station and work closely with others in achieving those objectives;
- Co-ordinate activity with EPD and other relevant parties;
- To undertake any other duties as assigned by the Director-Collections & Transfer Stations.
Qualifications
- Degree Holder in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines;
- Over 10 years of experience of which with at least 5 years managerial experience in manufacturing and production environment;
- Experience in handling government projects will be an added advantage; and experience in working in multi-national company is preferred;
- Solid experience in the implementation of health, safety & environmental plan and procedures;
- Communication, interpersonal, coaching and negotiation skills;
- Pro-active, independent and can work under pressure.
