Responsibilities

As Power-to-X Innovation Specialist your key responsibility will be to develop technical solutions for wind-to-hydrogen solutions while at the same time using your solid technical skills and business understanding to work with suppliers, customers, colleagues and navigate in a fast-changing environment. Given the entrepreneurial nature of the segment, responsibilities can vary from managing projects to defining and assessing the feasibility of future solution concepts together with customers - down to direct specification, assessment, testing and project installation of projects and components (incl. electrolyzers) with Vestas colleagues and potential external partners. In addition, your role will be to build subject matter expertise to collaborate with colleagues in other parts of Vestas as well as technology partners and customers.

Qualifications

To be successful, you will use your hands-on experience in renewables, energy or hydrogen/gas solutions to drive technical development and project execution together with colleagues in other fields. We imagine that you have the following qualifications:

  • A Master degree or Ph.D. in a relevant technical field (e.g. in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering, physics, or chemistry)
  • Experience with wind/renewable power or other key technologies within hydrogen or Power-to-X
  • Project and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with modelling of energy processes and plants, e.g., wind turbines/hybrid power plants, electrolyser plants/applications or general process engineering
  • Hands-on experience with green hydrogen or Power-to-X projects, EPC, project development as well as other aspects of the emerging energy solutions
