About this role
Effective Project Management is at the heart of delivering Osbit’s projects safely, and successfully. Our company name is also the standard we set for our projects – ‘On Spec, Budget, and In Time’, and you will drive the delivery of our cutting-edge equipment in line with this.
You will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of a diverse range of engineering projects from inception to completion. To achieve this, you will closely collaborate with your multi-discipline project team, as well as other business functions. Utilising your strong leadership skills and technical expertise, you will drive project execution, manage resources effectively, and mitigate risks proactively. Your ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels will be essential in fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
Your responsibilities
  • Lead and manage engineering projects from initiation through to delivery, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance to drive project execution and resolve technical challenges.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, providing regular updates to stakeholders on project progress and performance.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing appropriate contingency plans as necessary to ensure project success.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, implementing best practices and lessons learned to enhance project delivery processes and efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders, effectively managing expectations and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Your experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience managing engineering projects within the offshore energy sector, with a strong understanding of project management methodologies and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage resources effectively, and drive project execution in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence people at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, with a focus on MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent is a plus.
  • PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus.
Further information
• Successful applicants will be based at our Riding Mill headquarters,  in North East England, working on site as required.
• Working abroad may be required at times.
• A valid driving licence is required.
