We require an experienced SHEQ Manager for a Manufacturing company in Centurion.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. More than 4 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  2. Previous experience in a similar role
  3. Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001
  4. Tertiary qualification in Quality, Health and Safety, Environmental or Manufacturing
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and drive preparedness and readiness to all safety and health protocols.
  • Implement all quality related methods, strategies and techniques
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee
  • Train, appoint and monitor health and safety representatives
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports related to quality, safety, health, and environmental performance.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in areas related to SHEQ performance.
  • Manage all facets of Health & Safety (H&S) including risk assessments, quality inspections, and audits.
  • Develop and implement compliance training plans
  • Train and evaluate staff on all relevant requirements
  • Liaise with Department of Environmental Affairs, Labour and Employment and all other institutions and departments that may be necessary to engage with
  • Reports to Executive Develop, recommend, and measure controls to improve the manufacturing process to ensure higher-quality goods.
  • reviewing new specifications and procedures for products or processes, and training staff to use them.
  • Ensuring legal obligations are followed and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies to maintain retention of accreditations.
  • Approving or rejecting finished products and submitting daily reports thereon.
  • Keeping accurate documentation and performing statistical analysis
  • Responds to and investigate concerns and complaints from employees and take appropriate action.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents that occur in the workplace, establish root causes, and recommend remedial action.
  • Laisse with both internal and external security personnel.
  • Manage overall safety of the business
  • Drive PPE compliance through line management and ensure that the correct PPE is worn at all times.
  • Conduct educational awareness programs and promote occupational health & safety, quality awareness within the organisation.
  • Ensure risk assessments are adhered to and updated.
  • Promote a safer and healthier environment in the workplace.
  • Prepare and submit relevant reports
