Freedom Solar Power is looking for a resolution and team focused Warehouse Lead. In this position you will help ensure the effective and efficient execution of all daily warehouse operations, duties, and tasks while maintaining a respectable level of leadership and teamwork. You will work closely with the warehouse manager on various projects for improvement. You will also work closely with the warehouse team to build and load solar installation kits and transport materials to the appropriate locations in the warehouse. As the Warehouse Lead you will maintain a variety of duties that include operating a forklift, utilizing inventory systems, managing the warehouse teams’ time and shifts, and much more!
Job Duties:
- Sustains, follows, and continues training of all standard operating procedures of the warehouse
- Coordinate duties with the Warehouse team, monitor teams' productivity, and take steps to improve performance where necessary
- Assist warehouse manager in Operating NetSuite
- Assist warehouse manager with daily weekly and monthly inventory counts as needed
- Work alongside the warehouse team when loading crew trucks
- Ensures all kits are checked for quality and are ready for installation to be properly loaded
- Create a list of materials for weekly orders
- Solves any inaccurate jobs kits, and material requests
- Operate various equipment and machines including forklifts, pallet jacks, and vehicles
- Ensures that the warehouse is clean, organized, secure, and safe per compliance
- Holds responsibility for warehouse team performance when management is absent
- Assists with other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager and Regional Operations Manager
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in a warehouse environment
- Excellent organizational, and work-management skills
- Must have a valid state driver’s license
- Prior forklift certification
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and stand for long periods of time
