About The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Front-End Engineer to join our team at Solar Landscape. As a Front-End Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing the user interface for applications that support community solar initiatives. Joining our Technology Team, you will be responsible for the entire front-end development, collaborating closely with back-end developers to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

Responsibilities

    • Design and develop user-centric, responsive front-end architecture for web and mobile applications.
    • Implement visual elements and user experiences that adhere to our specific design guidelines.
    • Work exclusively on front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.js, ensuring high performance on mobile and desktop.
    • Collaborate closely with back-end developers to ensure that the web applications' APIs and other server-side functions are integrated smoothly.
    • Conduct user research and usability testing to validate designs and improve the user interface.
    • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
    • Maintain and improve the browser compatibility and overall usability of the applications.
    • Stay abreast of developments in web technologies and UI/UX design trends.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design, Engineering or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a Front-End Developer or similar role with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in web development.
    • Extensive knowledge of front-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js).
    • Experience with user interface design, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility.
    • Skilled in using design software like Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma for creating wireframes and prototypes.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt and meet technical challenges.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working closely with back-end developers and other team members.
