Who we are looking for:   

We are looking for a rockstar co-op to join our team in Burlington for a 6 month co-op role that can start in June or July. Reporting to the VP of Operations,the Supply Chain Co-op will be a critical member supporting every aspect of the business. They will have a fully immersive experience about what it is like to build a startup from the ground up, with a key emphasis on support key functions such as procurement, logistics, inventory management, and process improvement initiatives for a deep technology company.  

Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in sourcing raw materials and components necessary for metal production, including researching suppliers, obtaining quotes, and analyzing proposals. 
    • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials and components to support production schedules. 
    • Support inventory management activities specific to metal production, including monitoring raw material inventory levels, conducting physical inventory counts, and optimizing inventory turnover. 
    • Assist in developing and implementing logistics strategies tailored to the transportation, storage, and handling requirements of metal materials and finished products. 
    • Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and quality enhancement within the metal production supply chain. 
    • Analyze production data and supply chain performance metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for optimization. 
    • Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing metal production processes, optimizing resource utilization, and minimizing waste. 
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices specific to metal production and supply chain management. 

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, and pursing an MBA 
    • Highly motivated to succeed and have a strong work ethic to back it up 
    • Excited to take the initiative and find new opportunities to increase business efficiency 
    • Have strong written and oral communication skills 
    • Excel within a team environment and motivate others around them 
    • Ability to quickly understand complex ideas and extract relevant information from technical sources 
    • Excited about new learning opportunities and resolving challenges that come up 
    • Dedication and perseverance to see tasks through to completion
