Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a rockstar co-op to join our operations team in Burlington for a 6 month co-op role that can start in June or July. Reporting to the CEO & Co-Founder of Phoenix, the Finance Co-op will be a critical member supporting the finance division of the startup. They will have a fully immersive experience of what it is like to build an enterprise from the ground up. By the end of the co-op, the student will have all of the knowledge they need to launch their own endeavor or with Phoenix and will have played a key in pursuing our vision of a Zero Waste World.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the financial model for the company, including updating and improving it as necessary to ensure its accuracy and effectiveness.
- Conducting research on rare earth metal pricing, including analyzing pricing trends, identifying potential risks and opportunities, and making recommendations to the finance team based on the findings.
- Conducting market analysis in the rare earth metals and related markets, as well as the startup investment market including venture capital and private equity investors. This will involve analyzing market trends, identifying potential risks and opportunities, and making recommendations to the finance team based on the findings.
- Assisting with the development of pricing forecasts for our products and services.
- Working closely with other members of the finance team to support day-to-day operations.
Qualifications:
- Highly motivated to succeed and have a strong work ethic to back it up

- Have strong written and oral communication skills
- Excel within a team environment and motivate others around them
- Ability to quickly understand complex ideas and extract relevant information from technical sources
