Advantage Capital is seeking an Associate to join our dynamic and collaborative data team.  One of the main functions of the data team is to use quantitative data to measure the community impact of Advantage’s investments.  The ideal candidate will be passionate about data, possess strong analytical skills, and have a keen eye for detail. As a Data Team Associate, you will play a key role in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to drive business decisions and support various departments within Advantage Capital. Candidates with experience and general interest in economic development preferred. 

Requirements 

• 2-3 years of professional experience post-graduation
• Economic development experience: Proven track record in economic and community development initiatives. Ability to leverage data to measure and communicate the impact of investments in these areas.
• Broad understanding of Salesforce: 2+ years of Salesforce experience. Familiarity with Salesforce database structure, visualization capabilities, and integration with other databases using APIs. Salesforce administrator experience preferred.
• Communication and presentation skills: Strong professional presence with the capability to articulate findings, defend decision-making processes, and present solutions to upper management effectively.
• Interdepartmental collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with various departments to understand and meet their data needs, enhancing overall business operations.
• Technical skills: SQL, Python, Excel VBA, and Tableau

- SQL: ability to maintain synching, and write queries to build tables and views according to business line requirements

- Python: ability to write scripts for web-scraping, automated database synching, and other data science purposes

- VBA: ability to build functions that allow users to interact with SQL database

- Tableau: ability to reconcile live data connection with multiple data sources and design dashboards that cater to business line requirements
