Position: Senior Project Development Manager

Summary:
We have a fantastic opportunity available as Senior Project Development Manager, to join a diverse development team within a growing business, where you will manage the development of identified projects towards final investment decision and RtB. This covers a wide range of workstreams including ecological evaluation, community engagement, negotiating land leases / option agreements / HoTs, planning, energy yield and grid connection assessments, and budget & programme management. You will also coordinate the procurement process with the support of the procurement team. The successful candidate will enjoy managing multiple workstreams and creatively solving challenges to minimize the cost and time of the developments, while maximizing the value to the company.
Requirements:
- Detailed knowledge and experience of the UK project development process, pitfalls and mitigations
- Experience with multiple renewable technologies would be highly desirable (wind, solar, battery storage, H2 etc.)
- Hands-on approach and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Willingness to get stuck into a range of varied tasks and projects
- Good problem-solving skills, able to think around challenges and propose creative solutions
- Self-motivated, able to manage own workload and clearly communicate progress
- Experience speaking and negotiating with key project stakeholders
- Well-organised and process-orientated with good attention to detail
- Proven ability to work and communicate with remote colleagues
- Commercial awareness and acumen
- Value-focused with a high degree of accountability
- Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
