The Director of Offtake will lead the business development team scaling corporate offtake and accelerating the deployment of high quality carbon removal, RECs and SAF. This role is essential to scale high quality carbon management and achieve our mission of helping companies decarbonize.

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and lead the company’s global business development & sales strategy for offtake
  • Grow and evolve the offtake business development and sales function as needed
  • Lead target setting, funnel development and execution for offtake
  • Own the acquisition and growth of key offtake accounts
  • Train marketing, sales, and leadership teams on sales processes and tactics to ensure successful interactions across offtake prospect engagements
  • Work strategically with Carbon Direct teams to improve conversion and retention rates. Create connective tissue between the marketing, sales and account management function

Qualifications 

  • Proven track record of identifying, negotiating, and managing strategic offtake/sales for inventory based businesses that have driven revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Familiarity with offtake agreement structuring, contract negotiations, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Extensive experience building, leading, and managing business development and/or sales organizations
  • Proven track record of leading teams to execute on and exceed targets
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills to assess market dynamics, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong understanding of the carbon management and sustainability sector.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in CRM software.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.

Salary

$150,000-$175,000 + bonus
