Here at Volocopter, we are the pioneers of electric air taxis (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft - eVTOLs). We have pledged to bring urban air mobility to life by getting electric air taxis and other eVTOLs off the ground in a way that complements existing transportation options in megacities across the globe. Our aim is to offer affordable, on-demand air taxi services that fly people to their destination quickly and safely. In 2011 we carried out the first-ever piloted flight of a fully electric multicopter and have since conducted more than 1,500 public and private test flights across the world (www.volocopter.com). 

Your mission during this flight:

As an Intern in our Manufacturing Engineering team, you will support in designing and developing manufacturing equipment and processes for the battery production line.

• You will develop tools and jigs and assist in layout drawing to optimize workflow.
• You will assist with the mockup building process.
• You will compile documentation related to product design and the manufacturing process.
• You will create and maintain work instructions.
• You will study the process capabilities of the equipment and conduct time studies.
• You will assist with equipment validations.
• You will work with suppliers.
• You will be responsible and apply all safety rules and regulations.

Check in your professional skills:

• You are currently studying towards a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar.
• You have 3D printing and rapid prototyping experience.
• You are fluent in English, writing and speaking.

Preferred skills:

• You are familiar with CAD design, Siemens NX is preferred.
• You are interested in manufacturing, working experience in this area is preferred.
