The Incentive Analyst's responsibilities will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation and distribution of incentive plan calculations throughout the organization. This individual will be responsible for validating, reconciling and reporting on all commission and incentive compensation calculations, and will work closely with various cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all incentive compensation payment and associated reporting.

 

The Incentive Analyst should also have strong data analysis analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be able to present financial information and incentive models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner.

 

Essential Functions

  • Compiling the source data and requirement needs in the Incentive Compensation excel spreadsheets.
  • Preparing the calculations on a timely basis.
  • Troubleshooting and addressing incentive questions received from stakeholders. Manage communications within the Incentive mailbox;
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of all incentive plans;
  • Developing and implementing calendars for distribution of key compensation plan metrics, results, analytics;
  • Develop recurring and ad hoc compensation reports, metrics and dashboards;
  • Providing updates to stakeholders on statuses of completion of all incentive plan calculations weekly;
  • Optimization and improvement in the intention of reducing and improving redundant and / or manual processes, making them more effective;
  • Preparation and maintaining audit files for all payment files sent to the payroll department.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Proven analytical ability coupled with problem solving and time management skills with the aptitude to multi-task and self-manage through multiple priorities;
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required-including VLOOKUP, Index Match, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting and Macros;
  • Identifying and quantifying risks and opportunities to develop strategies to mitigate risk and pursue opportunities;
  • Ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience;
  • Understand strategy, structure, and goals of each incentive plan
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills;
  • Detail-oriented and able to perform in a high-pressure environment and meet strict deadlines
  • Experience working with large amounts of data;
  • Ability to create Adhoc type reports
  • Capable of re-designing reports according to new requirements
  • Maintaining highest level of confidentiality;
  • Taking initiative and be proactive in resolving problems while being able to communicate effectively and follow through in a timely manner.

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting
  • 2 – 4 years' experience in financial analysis, incentive compensation, and or data mining.
  • Excellence with database and spreadsheet software, e.g. SqL and Excel
