Summary: 

As an EHS System Specialist, your primary focus would be on managing and optimizing software systems related to safety, health, and environmental compliance. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Software System Management: 
    • Oversee and maintain EHS software applications used for safety reporting, incident tracking, compliance management, and risk assessments. 
    • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper implementation, configuration, and integration of EHS software. 
    • Work with vendors to obtain quotes for subscription renewals. Ensure that subscriptions are renewed in a timely manner before due dates. 
    • Troubleshoot system issues, perform upgrades, and manage user access. 
  • Data Management: 
    • Collect, analyze, and interpret EHS data from various sources. 
    • Generate reports and dashboards to monitor safety performance, compliance metrics, and environmental impact. 
  • Compliance Assurance: 
    • Ensure that the EHS software system aligns with regulatory requirements (such as OSHA, EPA, and industry-specific standards). 
    • Conduct audits to verify data accuracy and system effectiveness. 
  • Training and Support: 
    • Train users on EHS software functionality and best practices. 
    • Provide ongoing technical support to users and address any system-related queries. 
  • Continuous Improvement: 
    • Identify opportunities for process optimization and propose enhancements to the EHS software system. 
    • Perform other duties as assigned. 

 

Education/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required in fields such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Environmental Health, or Safety 
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience 
  • Professional certification (ASP/CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred or looking to seek 
  • Prior experience in EHS software administration or related roles. 
  • Familiarity with Environmental, Health and Safety Management Systems (EHSMS) 

 

Knowledge/Skills: 

  • Proficiency in EHS software applications (e.g., Enablon, Intelex, Cority, or similar). 
  • Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and reporting. 
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry standards. 
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Must be comfortable working in a team setting 
  • Positive attitude, self-driven, strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated effectiveness in accomplishing goals 
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills 
  • Ability to work flexible hours occasionally  

 

Additional Requirements: 

  • This role requires up to 10% of travel(domestic)
