HRP Associates, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Intern for our Farmington, Connecticut office. This Intern will have the opportunity to work with an experienced team of geologists, environmental scientists, and engineers, as well as our many clients. During this Internship, you will have the opportunity to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom to real-life situations and take on the many practical challenges associated with environmental investigation and remediation. We are looking for someone who wants to grow, who’s curious, who loves both data analysis and the outdoors, and has wonderful communication skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Environmental data management
  • Phase I environmental site assessments
  • Site characterization of soil, groundwater, surface water, and sediments associated with Phase II and Phase III environmental assessments
  • Assistance with remediation investigation, design, and implementation
  • Data analysis and interpretation
  • Report writing and preparation
  • Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergraduate student in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering or related discipline
  • 40-hour OSHA Hazwoper training a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in MS Office products
  • Capable of working both independently and in a team environment
  • Self-motivated, have the willingness to learn and adapt to change
  • Capable of working in both office and field (outdoor) environments
***Please note: This is a paid internship opportunity.  The hourly pay rate is $17 to $20 based on experience, relevant education, and skillset.
