- Bachelors degree in Geology, Hydrology, Civil or Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or other Natural Science; Master's Degree preferred.
- 0 to 6 years of experience.
- Experience with mathematical terms and equations is preferred.
- Maintains corporate standards for report preparation and style.
- Manage multiple simultaneous projects and deadlines and adjust priorities based on management direction and program deadlines.
- Performing soil index property laboratory testing a plus.
- Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, and ESRI ArcGIS required; AutoCAD, desirable.
- Extensive travel and year-round field work, particularly in the months of April through October, with working hours more than 40 per week and weekends as needed.
Typically, depending on an applicants education, experience, other qualifications they possess, if they are a fit for the company and local office culture, and the current business needs, an Entry-Level Environmental Scientist typically would be placed at a Shannon & Wilson Professional I, II, III, or IV level.
