Overview

DSD (Distributed Solar Development) is a renewable energy development company focused on changing the calculus for energy consumers that want to own their clean energy supply. We engineer and operate onsite solar and battery storage systems for Fortune 500 brands, municipalities and provide community distributed generation solar to thousands of subscribers across the country.

Building clean energy infrastructure is difficult, and our experience is pushing us to develop software solutions. We see the multitude of financial, engineering and customer load data that we collect and generate as being incredibly valuable. We build software and data science solutions to create efficiencies in our operational and transactional processes in a relentless drive to lower the cost of clean energy for our customers. We must optimize the efficacy of our processes to reach the scale and growth needed to positively impact climate change.

In this pursuit, the DSD Digital Technology group builds data science and software solutions with the goal of enabling DSD to finance, develop, and operate more projects. This role will be joining an established software engineering team where we have a wide variety of impactful projects and high-quality mentors. During this internship, you will have a clearly defined project, direct mentorship from an engineer on our team, and lots of growth opportunities!
