Summary
The Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for the servicing of Reverse vending machines at retailer locations in Portland and Oregon areas, while using company vehicle for transportation. This position will perform hands on equipment maintenance, cleaning and minor repair work while consistently demonstrating safe and efficient work practices with a positive and professional attitude and demeanor
Schedule
- Monday through Friday from 6 am to 2:30 pm.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Interact in a positive manner with store personnel, customers and the general public.
- Use cleaning supplies to clean the exterior and interior of reverse vending machines.
- Clear machine mechanisms of obstructions, foreign materials.
- Lift and carry up to 30 lbs. of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
- High School diploma required.
- Previous experience in an industrial maintenance environment preferred.

- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Speak, understand, read, and write the English language.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Regular, reliable, in-person attendance.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
