Job Summary

Corporate Paralegal (Project Finance) is responsible for supporting Standard Solar’s legal and finance teams and providing a range of legal and administrative support in connection with the acquisition, development, and financing of solar energy projects throughout the United States.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Provide coordination and support on a variety of transactions and matters, including project due diligence and document management

· Support the negotiation and execution of term sheets/LOIs, NDAs, and various other transactional documents

· Prepare initial drafts of documents

· Interface with outside counsel

· Manage corporate formations, governance, and maintenance, including operating agreements, resolutions, and corporate certificates

· Coordinate closing processes for various acquisitions and project finance transactions

· Prepare a variety of internal and external correspondences

· Review and edit legal forms, documents, and contracts for accuracy

· Perform administrative duties in support of the legal and finance teams

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree, or paralegal studies certificate program

· Experience working as a corporate paralegal or project manager at a law firm or in-house at a company

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Superior organizational skills

· Ability to work independently and take initiative to accomplish tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision

· Document management skills a plus

· Renewable energy or solar acquisition/financing experience a definite plus, but not required

· Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This role interfaces with customers, vendors, the public, and all employees, including Senior and Executive Management.
