The National Hospitality Development Manager is responsible for generating new business for Freedom Solar. This effort includes strategic planning, execution, and attention to detail. This includes, not limited to educating, qualifying, and advising future customers on the financial benefits and environmental impacts with solar.  Our relationships with the industry’s largest Manufacturers can be leveraged to target multiple customer verticals. The National Hospitality Development Manager will integrate vertical market specialization that they will focus on to build on a successful “one to many” strategy.

Responsibilities:

    • Build out an industry or vertical market strategy following "The First 90 Days" outline
    • Consult with prospective customers on solar energy solutions for their business
    • Achieve sales goals including quotas, lead response timeliness, meeting conversions, pipeline management, etc. 
    • Participate in on-the-job training, classroom instruction, self-study, licensing (if applicable), and lead qualifying activities
    • Qualify prospective customers using established and creative lead methods to build your book of business
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with your sphere of influence and the community
    • Learn how to design pre-sales layouts and build accurate proposals to present solar economics to prospective customers
    • Conduct Lunch and Learns or webinars for architects, engineers, general contractors, etc.
    • Weekly reporting 
    • Participation in events selected for outreach to prospective solar customers

Qualifications:

    • Solar Experience (2+ years)
    • Deep appetite and knowledge of an industry/vertical
    • Good attitude & team player
    • Experience in B2B sales or client service environment preferred
    • Results-oriented with demonstrated organizational and time management skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with prospective and existing customers
    • Ability to work semi-autonomously in a fast-paced environment
    • Analytical skills to understand complex financial returns for energy investments
    • Self-motivated, energetic personality with exceptional sales skills as well as a willingness to initiate and implement process improvements

Additional Requirements:

    • Strong analytical skills
    • Experience performing financial modeling and an understanding of financial concepts (ROI, IRR,
    • NPV)
    • Experience with Aurora, Energy Tool Base, or other solar design software
    • Professional demeanor
    • Strong verbal and written skills
