The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for handling all shipping and receiving, inventory of materials received, checking toolstools, and maintaining tool inventory. This position is responsible for palletizing consumables for requested projects.

1. Responsible for all activities in receiving, storing, testing, and shipping products or materials.
2. Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
3. Report inventory discrepancies to supervisor.
4. Plan, develop, or implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
5. Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, field, or shipping.
6. Build a system for tracking long-term and short-term inventory.
7. Design and implement warehouse database structures.
8. Determine proper storage methods and store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas based on physical capabilities of the warehouse.
9. Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.
10. Maintain all PPE and safety equipment.
11. Take periodic inventory and examine merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.
12. Inventory and track all Service signage and keep the Service team informed.
13. Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
14. Keep records on the use or damage of stock or stock-handling equipment.
15. Operate equipment such as forklifts.
16. Recommend new and revised processes and take necessary measures to ensure best practices.
17. Maintain RMA’s (Return Merchandise Authorization).
18. Test all fire extinguishers.
19. Other duties as assigned.
