THIS TRAVELING INSTALLER ROLE IS BASED OUT OF AUSTIN, TX. FREEDOM SOLAR POWER COVERS EMPLOYEE EXPENSES (FLIGHT/HOTEL/PER DIEM) ONCE YOU DEPART FROM AUSTIN, TX.
Freedom Solar Power is looking for dedicated, humble, and hardworking Commercial Solar Installers for national commercial solar-based projects with either construction, electrical or solar experience! You will join a crew of solar installers to install 10kW to 1MW solar systems. This position is 90% travel; mostly 4 weeks out, with occasional weekend travel/work required.
Essential Functions and Duties
- Work with a team of installers on commercial solar projects.
- Safely executing quality workmanship, and timely completion of work assignments.
- Ensure proper safety, quality, and attitude per all company policies.
- Responsible for perpetuating the mission, goals, and values of Freedom Solar Power.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in commercial solar installation, electrical, or construction, electrical coding strongly desired.
- Can physically lift, bend, squat, and haul 50+ lbs.
- Capable of working in hot climates.
- Introduction to commercial solar mechanical and electrical principles.
- A valid Driver’s License and clean MVR are required to drive company vehicles.
- Willingness to travel weeks at a time across the US, 90% of the year.
