Offshore Wind Development Analyst
Description

The Development Analyst will be responsible for supporting a multidisciplinary Offshore Wind and transmission team in a variety of project management, project development and due diligence projects.  The Analyst will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders performing various roles developing, executing, and managing projects.  


Key Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise current projects and coordinate all team members to keep workflow on track.
  • Participate in management meetings providing status briefings, developing, and sharing presentations as well as minute taking; lead or participate in key project-level meetings.
  • Manage project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current and properly distributed to all stakeholders.
  • Managing the project and team diary. 
  • Direct project correspondence by preparing and reviewing project proposals, memos, meeting minutes and emails.
  • Evaluate project business cases and valuation and making recommendations to management.
  • Adhere to budget by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Engage in strategy development, market research and competitor analysis.
  • Coordinate with our partners and internal teams in preparation for offshore/transmission auctions & RFPs. 
  • Engage with legal service providers. 
  • Provide assistance with budgeting and follow up project cost and scheduling activities.
  • Perform trend analysis.
  • Perform other ad hoc projects as assigned. 


  Required Education

  • Master’s Degree required in Business, Engineering, Accounting, or related field.


Required Experience

  • 0-3 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or real estate.

  • Ability to manage the development and strategic process for energy projects.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-function team environment with strong prioritization, organizational, networking, leadership, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability and confidence to identify questions which affect material market/ project assumptions and raise these to the offshore development team members.
  • Ability to write effective, concise reports.
  • Position will require interfacing with senior managers within the organization.
  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks, over several projects, at different stages of development.
  • Knowledge of budget preparation, implementation, and oversight preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong scheduling skills and ability.


Physical Requirements

The Development Analyst may be required to endure the following physical activities, environmental conditions, and physical demands:

  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces,
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods,
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another,
  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions,
  • Communicating with others to exchange information,
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, and
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
