The Marketing Associate is responsible for driving lead generation and sales growth as well as working with the marketing team to improve the customer experience and build customer loyalty.

Job Duties:

    • Writing and implementation of communications in channels, such as: Emails (we use HubSpot), blogs and website pages (we use WordPress), text messages, and YouTube; Sales Materials such as flyers or pitch slides; Advertising assets such as content-rich media sponsorships or direct mail.
    • Support the sales team in community engagement efforts such as identifying/selecting, vetting, and booking event sponsorships, ordering swag and signage, or organizing campaigns.
    • Maintain and create customer emails and printed communications for the customer onboarding and solar installation process, as well as retention communications or surprise-and-delight mailers to drive positive online reviews, referrals, and word of mouth, and future upsell opportunities as needed.
    • Implement campaigns to grow our Customer Referral Programs, through promotions, gifting, and marketing channel communications, and campaigns or contests with cross-functional teams such as sales.
    • Grow our positive customer reviews on sites like Google Reviews and Yelp, and identify opportunities to leverage those testimonials in our marketing channels.
    • Project manage our company merchandise and swag, including managing our inventory levels, our online store, and working cross-functionally with other teams and an external print vendor to get sales and operations team uniforms ordered on a quarterly basis.
    • Analyze marketing performance and contribute thoughtful insights to influence our strategies to grow brand awareness and new sales leads.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competency:

    • This position offers involvement across marketing disciplines including both demand generation and branding, which is perfect for someone looking to grow upward in their marketing career!
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Self-starter and problem-solver who can jump in and contribute. Willingness to roll up your sleeves when needed to get projects over the finish line and to deliver positive results.
    • Skilled in utilizing spreadsheets, slides, and social media platforms.
    • Experience with marketing content channels such as email (we use HubSpot), blogs or websites (we use WordPress), social media, YouTube, and digital advertising (such as Meta or Google).
    • Experience in measuring your marketing initiatives against a goal, such as leads, sales, impressions, or engagements.

Education and Experience Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications required.
    • 3-5 years of marketing experience required
    • Work references and marketing samples available on request
