What You Can Expect

ENGIE’s North America’s Renewables group is responsible for identifying, screening, developing and evaluating business development projects in order to implement ENGIE’s growth strategy.  This may include Greenfield and project development, and asset/project acquisitions and/or divestitures.

 

As an intern, renewable energy development, you are responsible for supporting ENGIE North America’s Renewables in the development of large scale renewable energy projects in the US. You will have the opportunity to further develop professional skills, specifically, in the field of renewable energy. You will have the exposure to the electricity industry and experience with technical and commercial aspects of renewable energy project development.

 

  • Perform research and industry analysis
  • Assist the project team with project development activities for renewable energy projects
  • Review Request for Proposal (“RFP”) documents for renewable energy projects
  • Assist in the preparation of bid packages in response to RFPs
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Actively in university working towards a bachelor’s degree in which you completed courses in an engineering, business, environmental, or policy related discipline
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills
  • Technical skills and ability to learn and adapt
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to use company computer, be proficient with MS Excel and able to learn other software programs as required
  • Must be able to work up to 40 hours per week
  • Must have the ability to think analytically, present ideas professionally, and work in project teams

 

 

Additional Details

  • The internship work term will be from May 2024 to August 2024, full-time work schedule working 40 hours per week
  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing 
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies 

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $21.00 – $31,00 USD hourly

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
