ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Makes repairs, modifications, installations, testing, and calibration of assemblies and systems on the manufacturing floor.
    • Installs, inspects, troubleshoots, and improves the efficiency of production machines.
    • Discusses malfunctions and machine operation variations with operators, supervisors, and other maintenance team members to diagnose problems and repair machines.
    • Participates in electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation trouble shooting.
    • Dismantles defective machines and equipment, examines defective parts to detect imperfections and install new or repaired parts.
    • Trouble shoots and repairs bearings, seals, hydraulics, pneumatics, and clutches.
    • Performs preventative maintenance and calibration using applicable SOP and work instructions.
    • Works in a safe manner and proactively addresses safety issues.
    • Demonstrates ability to operate machines, hand-tools and electrical equipment.
    • Possesses an operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
    • Demonstrates ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
    • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills with practical, mechanical, and electrical aptitude.
    • Possesses basic troubleshooting experience and proven skills in machine repair, gear boxes, and a variety of pumps
    • Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Demonstrates the ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
    • Welding, machining and fabrication experience a plus.

Experience Requirements

    • 5+ years of Millwright / Maintenance Tech experience needed.
    •  Millwright Journeyman’s card (preferred)

Requirements and Skills

    • Duties encompass preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, modifications of manufacturing equipment. Completion of preventative maintenance work orders as per the PM schedule, complete and document information on the PM outlining completion or additional work and materials required to complete the PM. Comply with allcompany safety policies and procedures and ensure all equipment is properly guarded and operating in a safe manner. Participate in department team meetings to review and resolve quality, service, operations, facility, human resources and health and safety issues. Maximize equipment uptime, minimize equipment breakdowns. Effective feedback on equipment after or during PM or breakdowns. Proper spare part or replacement material ordering.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Stationary Position: frequently remains stationary up to 90% of the time and sitting up to 8 hours in a day
    • Move/Traverse: infrequently bend, stand, stoop and/or walk
    • Carry Weight: infrequently carry weight and/or lift objects (light to heavy) weighing up to 10 pounds
    • Hearing and Speech: frequently communicates with the ability to hear and talk on a regular basis with employees, coworkers, and all personnel matters; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
    • Sight: frequent use of sight to detect images on computer, office documents, and office objects near and far
    • Climb: occasionally ascends/descends on stairway to get to office upper and lower floors
    • Travel: up to 5 % as needed

    • Noise level ranges from low to moderate (if in office setting)
    • Noise level ranges from moderate to high (if on construction worksite)
$33 - $38 an hour
