Regional Business Development/Sales Manager APAC – Climate Change

Job Description

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute outbound sales efforts and marketing strategies
  • Manage inbound leads through the entire sales process, from qualification to closure
  • Manage business development activities and client retention
  • Project manage the full cycle of the project validation and/or verification
  • Provide on-going support to regional and local sales teams
  • Geographical responsibility: Global

KEY REPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following activities:

 

  • Build sales pipeline with inbund and outbound sales
  • Maintain Salesforce opportunities pipeline always up-to-date
  • Represent SGS at events
  • Develop and execute on an effective sales strategy for developing new business
  • Understand and identify industry trends, key developments and SGS solutions portfolio competitive landscape to draw conslusions and set sales priorities
  • Prepare and deliver prospects and clients presentations
  • Understand the wider SGS solutions portfolio to identify bundling opportunities and cross-selling
  • Co-operate across divisions
  • Support local sales efforts through coaching
  • Work with the marketing team to build effective marketing campaigns and collateral

Qualifications

CORE COMPETENCES & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years experience with sales, business development and marketing strategies
  • Relevant experience in business development and sales in the sustainability field
  • Skilled on highly technical solutions sales
  • Business understanding of the drivers behind corporate climate actions and initiatives climate to formulate a business case
  • Fluent English + other languages would be a plus
  • Able to be flexible in response to work demands, including international travel globally
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms (SalesForce)
  • Comfortable with remote work
  • Proficiency in MS Office
