What is the unique purpose of the role?
Provide advanced level support of critical SCADA software applications and hardware/field devices so SA Water can monitor and control operational assets to deliver efficient, reliable, and cost-effective water services across South Australia. Provide advanced technical analysis and contribute to identifying, planning, developing, and delivering recommendations and technical SCADA solutions to meet SA Water needs. |

Relevant tertiary qualification or industry certification and/or a minimum of 5 years broad experience in SCADA application support and/or system integration |

Experience with the use and application of SCADA systems in industrial environments, including application and device programming/configuration, database interaction and report creation tools |

Extensive and comprehensive knowledge of SA Water’s SCADA applications, in particular GE iFix and Historian, OSIsoft PI or similar, and the business processes that are supported by those applications |

Comprehensive understanding of how SCADA applications integrate with field devices and telemetry, data storage and analytical systems |

Experience with SCADA application system development, enhancement and support policies and processes including application development and configuration, change and Risk management and quality assurance |

Special conditions
Does the role have any unique requirements?
- Participate in rotating 24x7 on call Support Roster as directed by the team lead
- Flexible hours and some after hours as required, some intra and interstate travel (mandatory)
- You will be required to undergo initial and subsequent medical clearances and immunisations to ensure your safety in performing the inherent requirements of your role, including but not limited to: Covid-19, Hepatitis A/B, Q Fever, and Flu (mandatory)
- Depending on the role you will be required to undergo initial and/or subsequent clearance checks to ensure your ongoing suitability for the role. These may include a criminal police check, traffic check, Working with Children and/or Working with Vulnerable People (mandatory)
- You will be required to hold a current driver’s licence at all times
