Job Description

Performs environmental analyses and/or preparations of samples using standard analytical techniques in compliance with Eurofins Quality Assurance program and Standard Operating Procedures. Must have problem solving, time management, and organizational skills.

1-2 years of experience using GC-MS instrumentation strongly preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs laboratory procedures requiring knowledge of scientific methods and testing procedures including:
    • Batching and preparing samples for analysis taking into account special and varied client and Quality Assurance requirements
    • Preparing reagents for sample analysis
    • Preparing analytical standards
    • Determining appropriate routine and complex analysis methods for a wide variety of organic and inorganic samples
    • Operation, calibration, and maintenance of GC and/or GCMS instrumentation
    • Uploads data into reporting system for review.
    • Performs data review and validation
    • Maintains and complete logbooks
    • Operating within Eurofins Health & Safety Standards
    • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
    • Managing inventory of chemical reagents, standards, and consumables

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: BS/BA degree in chemistry or related field. 5 years laboratory experience may substituted for degree.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating GC-MS instrumentation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without restrictions or sponsorship.

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday – Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm with overtime as needed.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Cary, NC are encouraged to apply.  

Pay rate: $20/hr

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
