Sustainability Manager

The Sustainability Manager is responsible for driving sustainability initiatives at the hotel and reports to the Executive Assistant Manager. Their main responsibilities include ensuring the hotel's compliance with environmental goals, reducing single-use plastics, conducting audits to ensure brand guideline adherence, and liaising with corporate offices. The Sustainability Manager also works with various departments to uphold sustainability standards, oversees sustainability certifications, reports environmental performance to internal and external stakeholders, establishes partnerships with external organizations, identifies areas for improvement, and trains staff on environmental practices. They focus on energy efficiency, sustainable food and beverage, plastic reduction, diversity and inclusion, community support, and biodiversity protection.

Candidates for this position must have a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Environment, Sustainability, or a related field. They should also have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in either Hospitality or Sustainability and possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Office tools. Additionally, they must exhibit proficiency in written and spoken English, have a keen interest in luxury hospitality, and demonstrate the ability to convey this enthusiasm to customers. The ideal candidate must also have a solid understanding of luxury and a strong attention to detail.
