Position Summary

The Technical Product Manager will manage all product line strategies, profitability, growth targets, and new product launches for Savant’s battery storage product solutions. This role will align to business strategies and set operations goals for the product line. This role will coordinate with engineering, quality, marketing, sales, and other teams to develop, manage, and improve products. This key product role will be responsible for incorporating customer and business requirements to produce product strategy.  This position will report directly to the VP of Product Management for the Savant Power business.

Key Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Develop technical product requirements for battery storage products by taking in a range of inputs, including business goals, customer feedback, research insights, and product performance.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams, including hardware, software, and QA teams to bring product requirements, including new features and product certifications, into development.
  • Oversee development to ensure decisions align with product objectives.
  • Work with operations team to provide guidance on manufacturing requirements and product availability.
  • Continually assess product priorities, gaining stakeholder alignment and communicating to engineering leaders.
  • Lead go-to-market strategy and product launch, including assembling and leading cross functional teams to successfully bring new products and features to market.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and maintain key sales support material for your product area.
  • Maintain key improvements and new features for each of your product areas.
  • Perform market research and leverage insights to improve product competitiveness.
  • Provide summary of product performance monthly to leadership, including sales performance, identifying key product goals based on findings.
  • Own and drive key financial metrics including revenue and profitability for your product areas.
  • Collaborate with the Load Management Product Manager to ensure seamless integration between the Savant Load Management and Power Storage systems.

 

Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in product management or similar role involving product development.
  • 2-5 years’ experience working on battery storage or related energy management technologies, including strong technical knowledge of energy systems.
  • Demonstrated experience aligning and influencing cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, and a proactive communication style.

 

LOGISTICS

This is a remote position however the ability to have access to the product / hardware is very important.  It is preferred that candidates reside within driving distance of the four below locations.  There are no "enforced" work from office days per se.
