The standardization team is a global team primarily located in Denmark, India, and Portugal. Our department is responsible for developing, defining and ensuring both short and long-term business performance targets are being met across platforms, modules, sub-modules and value chains to ensure the highest degree of standardized and modularized products.

We are responsible for delivering business and capability offerings such as Standardization and Parts management, Reference Designation Systems (RDS), Materials and coatings management and External standards & Standards in Vestas that maximize the value Vestas creates for stakeholders.

 

Responsibilities

  • Standardization Lead for Mechanical / Electrical Modules and Sub Modules
  • Drive and implement strategic projects within your area of responsibility.
  • Drive and develop expert knowledge within your area of responsibility and build guidelines and best practices to support Vestas within this field
  • Actively identify opportunities for standardization together with stakeholders from across the value chain to reduce complexity and improve global availability
  • Work in close collaboration with key stakeholders and customers to deliver value through digitalization and implementation of engineering capabilities
  • Develop and oversee projects & improvement initiatives to achieve on-time and high-quality key deliverables such as Module parts & Tools Catalogue, parts classification and standardization guidelines and standardization performance metrics

 

Qualifications

  • M.Tech / M.E / M.Sc or B.Tech / B.E / B.Sc within Engineering, preferably within Mechanical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience, preferably from the wind but potentially from other Engineering industries (E.g. Aerospace, Automotive and Energy Sector)

 

Competencies

  • Hands-on experience in standardization methodology and appropriate implementation of standardization from other industries (e.g. Automotive industries)
  • Good project/task management experience
  • Knowledge of automation techniques
  • Basic skills in Tools and processes (SAP, PLM and CAD)
